Little Pig Building Inspection Services is a division of The Little Pig Building Company – one of Nelson’s premier building companies.
We’ve been building homes in the Nelson region since 1992, and have a reputation for understanding our customers’ requirements and delivering well beyond their expectations.
We also do a lot of renovation work, and often get called in to advise on or repair defective homes. Our pre-purchase building inspection work has grown out of a desire to save our clients the stress and unexpected cost of repairing a home after purchase.
We offer a qualified, honest and transparent house inspection process that informs and forewarns our clients of any property defects, saving them time, money and the stress of finding defects after purchasing a home.
If you book a building inspection with us, you’ll most likely meet Nick Marer – owner of Little Pig and our key building inspection provider.
Nick is an Accredited Building Surveyor with the Building Officials Institute of New Zealand (BOINZ). This means he is an industry recognised property inspection expert. 
As well as being a highly experienced and qualified builder and inspector, Nick is a lifelong motorbike enthusiast, and chair of the Ducati Owners Club Nelson. He’s delighted to be able to travel between inspections on his motorbike, with a custom made ladder attached to the pillion.
